Help & Advice · Sunglasses
Choosing
your sunglasses.
Several factors are important when choosing the right sunglasses. Your choice of lenses determines both protection and vision, with light transmission and UV protection being key considerations. In addition, the right fit is essential for both comfort and protection.
Here, we provide advice on choosing the right lenses, finding the right size and caring for your sunglasses, so you can always make the best choice.

LENS TECHNOLOGY
100% UV protection
SINNER glasses are equipped with 100% UV protection, which means they fully protect your eyes from harmful UV rays. UV radiation is especially strong at higher altitudes and in sunny conditions. It can damage your eyes and lead to long-term problems such as cataracts or retinal damage. With SINNER glasses, you don't have to worry about this; they block both UVA and UVB rays. This ensures safe vision and optimal performance during all your outdoor activities. Enjoy your time outdoors knowing that your eyes are well protected from the sun's harmful effects.

Lens technologies
Engineered for Better Vision
SINNER offers advanced technologies for lenses, including sunglasses, that ensure optimal performance in different conditions. SINTRAST® lenses improve colour saturation and contrast, essential for activities in bright light. Polarised SINTEC® lenses eliminate reflections and reduce blinding glare, while filtering blue light for better vision and comfort. Photochromic TRANS+® lenses adapt quickly to changing light conditions, ensuring your eyes always enjoy the best protection. With these innovations, SINNER focuses on technology and innovation for the best sunglasses.

Colour & Contrast
Polarized lenses eliminate glare and reflections while enhancing contrast, depth perception and visual comfort in changing light conditions.

Contrast enhancement
SINTRAST® lenses enhance contrast and bring out important colours and details for clearer, more comfortable vision. They are designed to improve visual performance in specific sports and light conditions.

Photochromic adaptation
TRANS+® lenses automatically adjust from lighter to darker tints as light conditions change, helping maintain clear vision and consistent protection. The fast photochromic response makes them suitable for changing weather and varying light throughout the day.
LENS GUIDE
Lens categories
Sunglasses are available with different coloured lenses suitable for specific light conditions. The brighter the sun shines, the darker the lens should be for optimal vision. In cloudy weather, lighter-coloured lenses are better because they provide a more contrasty view. The ultimate goal is to relieve your eyes. When you have to peer less, you are less likely to get tired. Below is an image showing the different lens categories, as you need a different lens for each light condition. Choosing your right lens
- Polarised lenses
These lenses reduce glare from water or snow, for example, reducing eye fatigue and allowing you to see better contrast in bright conditions.
- Coloured lenses
Lenses in shades such as brown, yellow or grey offer several advantages. For example, yellow lenses improve vision in cloudy weather or fog, while brown lenses offer more contrast on sunny days.
- Mirrored lenses
These lenses reflect bright light, protecting your eyes from intense sunlight. They also give a stylish look in addition.
- Oil-coated lenses
Oil-coated lenses are optimally protected against glare.
- UV-protective lenses
These offer 100% protection against harmful UV rays, which is essential for maintaining healthy eyes, especially at high altitude or in bright sunshine.

How to choose the right size?
Choosing the right size of sunglasses is just as important as choosing the right lens. Properly fitting glasses will ensure optimal comfort and protection so you can enjoy the sun without worry. At Sinner, we offer different sizes to ensure that everyone can find the perfect fit.
Small fit: This is ideal for people with a narrow face. These sunglasses fit better without being too big or loose, preventing them from shifting during activities.
Standard fit: These sunglasses are designed for people with average face shape and size. These models offer a balanced fit that is comfortable without being too tight or loose.
Medium fit: These sunglasses are slightly roomier and are suitable for a wide range of faces. These models offer extra space at the bridge of the nose, making them ideal for those with a wider face shape.
Wide fit: For those with a wider face, we offer a wide fit. These models provide more space around the face, so the glasses do not press into the temples or onto the nose. This ensures a comfortable and stable fit.
Asian fit: Specially designed for people with a lower nose bridge and higher cheekbones, these sunglasses offer a customised fit that fits better. This prevents the glasses from sitting up and provides better coverage.
Care & storage
Instructions for use and storage
Storage advice
SINNER recommends storing sunglasses in the provided microfibre sunglass bag or sunglass case in a dry and cool place, never in direct sunlight and at a temperature between -5˚C and +25˚C / 23 and 77 Fahrenheit.
Storage Trans+® lenses
In addition, our TRANS+® photochromic lenses should be stored in a dark place.
Never store in a car
We would like to point out that sunglasses should never be left on a dashboard or in a car glove compartment as temperatures can easily exceed 80˚C in them.
Hard or rough surfaces
Avoid contact with hard or rough surfaces to prevent damage to the lens.
Microfibre pouch
Use the microfibre bag or microfibre cleaning cloth provided with the sunglasses to clean them. Alternatively, rinse them with tap water and dry them with a clean, dust-free cloth.
Cleaning products
Never clean your sunglasses with detergents, as cleaning agents often contain chemicals that can damage the materials. The same applies to wet wipes and hygiene wipes.
Sunscreen products
Take extra care when applying sunscreen while wearing SINNER sunglasses. Sunscreen products often contain chemicals that may affect or damage the materials of the sunglasses.
SINTEC® sunglasses and floating sunglasses
Floating SINNER sunglasses and sunglasses with SINTEC® lenses should be dried immediately after contact with water using a clean, dry, dust-free cloth.
